Elliot Feuerstein

After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, Elliot Feuerstein began a distinguished real estate and retail development career that has spanned more than four decades. In addition to his professional efforts, Elliot Feuerstein is a noted philanthropist who gives back to numerous organizations in the San Diego, CA, area. Among other groups, he supports the Jewish Community Foundation (JCF) San Diego.

Founded more than 50 years ago by a group of San Diego residents dedicated to the sustainability and growth of the area’s Jewish community, JCF San Diego stands as one of the most important philanthropic and social services organization in California. Since its founding, the organization has directed more than $1.4 billion in donations to worthy groups while managing an endowment of nearly $400 million.
In addition to directing philanthropy gifts to those in need, JCF San Diego maintains a range of youth development programs that ensure the next generation of Jewish leaders will continue the tradition of service and giving. This suite of programs includes the Jewish Teen Foundation, an initiative that introduces Jewish teens to local nonprofit organizations and initiatives. Participants in the program learn about important terms, such as tzedakah, a concept of charity and justice, as they interact with those in need and raise funds through their own foundation.
